US Presidential Inaugural 2013: Interfaith Prayer Service Set for Washington National Cathedral
As a part of Presidential Inaugural activities in January set to kick off President Barack Obama's second term in office, he, along with Vice President Joe Biden, a group of leaders of various faith groups and other dignitaries will take part in an interfaith prayer service to be held at the Washington National Cathedral.
“The Inaugural Prayer Service is an historic observance that Washington National Cathedral is honored to host once again for President Obama, said the Very Rev. Gary Hall, dean of the Cathedral.
The Cathedral, which is a part of the Episcopal Church, first hosted a presidential inauguration in 1933, and has done so for recent presidential administrations.
