5 Must-Have Worship Albums of 2016

2016 is now upon us.  Ahead of us in the next few months is a plethora of worship albums released to enrich our vocabulary of worship. Here are 5 of our most anticipated worship releases.

5. "Salvation's Tide is Rising" by Passion Worship 

 

Passion's 'Salvation's Tide Is Rising' will be released on 29th January 2016. This brand new Passion album contains new studio recordings from best-selling artists Chris Tomlin, Crowder, Matt Redman, and Kristian Stanfill. The album opens with Stanfill's title track 'Salvation's Tide', and also features Redman's 'I Turn to Christ' and Tomlin's 'God and God Alone' 

4. "Here As It is in Heaven" by Elevation Worship

 

Since 2006, North Carolina area Elevation Church has thrived under the leadership of Pastor Steven Furtick. The church's high-energy music ministry, Elevation Worship, blends vertical and scriptural lyrics with a driving modern worship sound. This 2015 release includes "Yahweh," "O Come To The Altar," the title track, and more. 

3. "Youth Revival" by Hillsong Y&F

 

Hillsong Young & Free is a youth movement born out of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. In this thirty year story, they have seen generations of people serving, leading and pioneering movements. Hillsong Young & free is comprised of a collective of young people who come together to make music for youth and young adults everywhere.

1. "Worship and Believe" by Steven Curtis Chapman

  

Steven Curtis Chapman is set to release his latest project on March 4, 2016 (Essential Worship). Titled Worship and Believe, this is not only Chapman's 23rd career studio album in a three decade-long career but is his first worship record. The album was co-produced by Chapman and Brent Milligan.
