Christina Grimmie's Brother's Heartbreaking Statement Speaks of His Sister's Love for Jesus

The Voice's alum Christina Gimmie, who is also known for her outspoken Christian faith, has died. On June 10, 2016, Grimmie was shot by 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl while she signed autographs following her performance with Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida. Loibl then fatally shot himself after being tackled by Grimmie's brother Marcus.
The singer was rushed to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. According to an employee at the hospital, Christina died shortly after she was brought to the ER. On Saturday, the Orlando Police Department released the name and driver's license photo of the 27-year-old shooter, Kevin James Loibl of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Authorities explained that "the suspect traveled to Orlando apparently to commit this crime, and then had plans to travel back to where he came from." The case is currently under investigation.
Marcus who has been hurt while trying to rescue her sister writes a heartbreaking message to all his sister's fans. In the message, he did mention his sister's faith and love for Jesus Christ. "By now I'm sure many of you have heard that Christina has passed away due to gunfire after a show," he wrote Saturday afternoon on his personal Facebook page. "I really don't have much to say about anything and am just blown away with the prayers and support. I PROMISE I will respond to everyone when I can."
"Christina was more than my sister. She was a partner in life," he continued. "A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely. But above all...she was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don't know what I'll do without her."
Marcus asked fans to post photos of themselves with Christina and share any memories they had of the late singer.
"I will cherish it forever and always. So please do that for me," he concluded. "Thank you all so so much. The support has been crazy and I do feel at peace. I just don't have any words. I love you all."
