Lauren Daigle's "Look Up Child" is Certified Platinum

Two-time GRAMMY© Award winner and multi-platinum selling recording artist Lauren Daigle sophomore album Look Up Child has been certified platinum, marking the sale of one million units. Daigle's Look Up Child debuted at #1 on Top Christian Albums and #3 on Billboard's all-genre Top 200 chart back in September 2018. A highlight of the collection is the crossover hit "You Say", which was also recently certified Double Platinum.
Lauren thanks her fans and all involved in the project for their support. "Last night was a night that I believe I will remember forever. I'm so overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the people who showed up and represented an era in my career that is humbling and profound for all of those involved... To those who have listened & received, thank you! To those who have worked hard & diligently, thank you! To those who have shared a story or moment, thank you! There are many things I could say, but right now I'm left with unrelenting gratitude. #lookupchildisplatinum"
In an interview with Billboard's Jim Asker, Daigle said "I don't shy away from singing about my faith. I think it conveys honesty, and people see authenticity. More people are going to relate to my music if it's sincere. I believe that wholeheartedly. That's how you reach people that might not have felt that [the Christian genre] was their home before. I want this to be such a record of joy, such a record of hope, that people experience a childlikeness again. In the time of making this record, I had to remember who I was as a child. I want people to reflect on, 'The innocence of my childhood ... how do I see myself through those eyes again? How do I love myself like that again? Where's that joy? Where's that hope?"
The album received the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. It was nominated for Top Christian Album at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards. The album has spent forty-four weeks at No. 1 on the Christian Albums chart, the longest reign of the 2010s.
