Hillsong's Founder Brian Houston’s Court Case Delayed Again

Hillsong Church's founder Brian Houston's court case was supposed to commence on Thursday (March 3) in Sydney, Australia. However the case has been postponed again. DPP prosecutor Luke Sampson told the court that lawyers for the mega-church founder could not appear in person due to the flooding situation affecting a large part of NSW.
Houston, was not required to appear at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court.
Sampson mentioned the matter on behalf of Mr Houston's junior counsel Christian Edwards and asked the matter to be adjourned for one week. It is expected a plea of not guilty will be entered on March 10 and a date for a hearing will be set.
The court was told the hearing was expected to go for at least two weeks.
Houston was charged in October last year when NSW Police allege Mr Houston knew from September 1999 that his father Frank Houston had indecently assaulted a male church member in 1970. In court documents, police allege Brian Houston failed to tell the authorities despite believing his father had committed the assault and knowing he had information that might help a prosecution.
