Listen to Britney Spears Sing "Jesus Loves Me" & "Amazing Grace"

On Saturday (July 15), pop songstress Britney Spears shared a video on Instagram of herself singing a pair of Christian hymns while horseback riding along the beach. She opens by singing the hymn "Jesus Loves Me" before transitioning to "Amazing Grace."
"Southern girl singing on my horse!!!" Spears captioned the clip.
Britney's faith has changed over the years. She was raised as a Southern Baptist. According to Newsweek, she converted to Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism that became popular with celebrities in the mid-2000s, for a short time. In 2021, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Spears said that she is a "Catholic now." Last year, Spears said that she no longer believes in God after losing her faith because of her years-long conservatorship.
"God would not allow that to happen to me if a God existed," she said, referring to her 13-year conservatorship which ended in 2021. "I don't believe in God anymore because of the way my children and my family have treated me. There is nothing to believe anymore. I'm an atheist, y'all."
