Jason Crabb and Dylan Scott Respond to their GMA Dove Awards Win

The 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards turned into an unforgettable night for Red Street Records' Jason Crabb and Curb Records' Dylan Scott as they took home the esteemed GMA Dove Award in the Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year category for their captivating rendition of "Good Morning Mercy." The ceremony was broadcast on TBN and SiriusXM The Message on Friday, October 20, 2023.
The win earned Crabb his 23rd GMA Dove Award, Scott his first, and Red Street Records its first-ever accolade in the Christian market.
The original release of "Good Morning Mercy" became a fast hit on the Christian radio charts and in concerts, as well as garnering millions of streams on multiple platforms.
The song was written by Crabb, label-mates and Red Street Publishing roster members Jordan and Caleb Ward, and GRAMMY®-award winning producer and Red Street Records CEO Jay DeMarcus.
"I'm continually amazed at how God has used "Good Morning Mercy" to encourage and inspire people," says Crabb. "It's a blessing to hear story after story on how the message in this song has impacted so many. Winning this with Dylan Scott, who has become a dear friend, is special. Who'd have ever thought a chance meeting getting our hair cut would turn into this - only God! I want to thank Dylan, Jay and my Red Street Family, Chris Hauser, Grant Hubbard, the GMA and all the members. We are thankful To God be the glory!"
"What a night! So grateful to be a Dove Award winner with my friend Jason Crabb," said Dylan Scott.
DeMarcus, who also produced the song, shares, "I'm so incredibly proud of this win for Jason and Dylan and the entire Red Street team behind its fruition. It's an honor to have produced such a massive song with such exceptionally talented artists and even more special that it earned Red Street our first award! The first of many to come!!" After winning the award, Crabb and Scott united on stage in an exuberant, power-packed performance of the song, bringing the sold-out crowd to its feet.
