Levi Lusko's Father Passes Away

Levi Lusko, the founder and lead pastor of Fresh Life Church and best-selling author, announces over social media that his father Chip Lusko passed away. Chip had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He passed away on April 2.
Levi writes, "Early this morning my dad, my hero, my role-model, Chip Lusko went home to be with Jesus. Doctors had given him another year plus to live but on Good Friday the rug was pulled out from us when after some pain brought him to the hospital and he was shockingly told he only had days. His body was shutting down.
"The following days (Easter weekend) were agonizing and terrible as he declined in hours as though they were decades. His life was drained from him before our eyes. We sat at his side, worshipping and praying as this larger than life oak of a man of God dissolved into dust. We asked Jesus to do the impossible and then to have mercy and He did.
"He brought my dad through the valley of shadow of death to fullness of life and pleasures evermore in a triumph of glorious resurrection power. I sorrow to see his face no more on this earth but rejoice for what glory he is experiencing in the presence of his Savior.
"I can't help but smile at the fact that, being a life long morning person, he went to heaven moments after the clock struck midnight on 4/2/24 because not only is that date a beautiful palindrome, but he arrived in Heaven early and didn't waste a moment of the new day for as soon as he was absent from the body he was present with the Lord. I love you dad with my whole heart and I will see you again, but not yet."
Levi is the author of several books, children's books, and devotionals, including Through the Eyes of a Lion, I Declare War, The Marriage Devotional, and his latest, The Last Supper on the Moon. He and his wife, Jennie, co-host their podcast, Hey It's the Luskos.
Levi and Jennie have one son, Lennox, and four daughters: Alivia, Daisy, Clover, and Lenya, who is in heaven.
