Lisa Bellamy And Husband William Fluker Share A Holiday Favorite "Do You Hear What I Hear"

Gospel, Jazz, and Inspirational Artist Lisa Bellamy (Fluker) is an extraordinary psalmist, songwriter, and artist on the rise. She is married to William Fluker, a phenomenal jazz instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. This talented and dedicated power couple is blessed to be able to share the most beautiful love language, which is music, and it absolutely gives them joy in their marriage to share the same interests.
William and Lisa met years ago on a tour and discovered they both attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts at different times. Their chemistry and passion for music and ministry blossomed into a life of creativity rooted in God. The couple transparently shares their life's journey and love of music.
William and Lisa balance music and ministry with full-time careers and family. It can be challenging but is manageable with focused schedules, prioritizing personal and family time, and practicing self-care.
"We have a schedule for our musical performances and volunteer our time at local churches conducting workshops and offering free concerts. It is important to us to take time out regularly for family gatherings and holidays and prioritize time to do things we enjoy individually and as a couple. We follow God's guidance when responding to requests to minister or worship. Our family shares music, so we enjoy it in the studio, writing, or harmonizing together."
William and Lisa's creative flow has been a cohesive exchange and collaborative effort within a positive environment that cultivates the swell of ideas and inspiration.
"We evaluate each other's ideas and agree on what is best for each song. William lays down the original idea of a song if it is something he has written. Lisa will record her ideas and send it to William to get things started. We listen to one another, make room for change, and consider each other's input."
Their advice to young or new couples who may have aspirations of a life in music or ministry together is to take the principles of the Bible seriously and make those values a part of their lives, marriage, and decision-making. Additionally, being open to feedback and honest with each other is key.
Through their experience in the music industry, this dynamic power couple is a testament that mastering and managing the business side of music takes insight. They live by and advise a focused decision to follow what God has assigned you to do rather than create music following a trend. This example has sustained them and is a blueprint for their continued endeavors and successes.
"As a couple, we will keep teaching music, nurture new relationships and collaborations, and continually engage in worship that pleases God. As we grow and expand, we look forward to doing voiceovers and submitting our music for various projects. I (Lisa) plan to show my acting skills in plays, musicals, and television. I (William) look forward to writing orchestral arrangements and sharing my musical ideas worldwide."
