David A. Porter, Sr. Releases "Fabulous Great Day" Single Featuring Faith Maria Porter

What started as writing music to teach his children Bible verses has turned into a Gospel music career for pastor David A. Porter, Sr.  He is an author, recording artist, family man, entrepreneur, and senior pastor and worship leader at Excel Church in Lanham, Maryland.  For over thirty years, he has been putting scriptures to melodies and has begun developing a discography of Gospel and Jazz albums and songs.  His newest single is "Fabulous Great Day."

"I wrote this song to uplift people to have a fabulous, great day in God no matter what you're dealing with," Pastor Porter says.  "Whether in good times or challenging moments, through Christ, you can still enjoy a fabulous great day,"

"Fabulous Great Day" is available on all digital music outlets and is now being heard on Gospel radio.   The infectious inspirational single is written by Pastor Porter and features his daughter, vocalist Faith Maria Porter.  

"Fabulous Great Day is all about encouraging yourself in God," says Faith Porter.  "I connect with this song because I consider myself an extreme optimist.  I believe that everything will always work out for your good in God. In stressful times, I always remind myself that I am in control of my mood and feelings, so even when everything goes wrong, it can still be a fabulous, great day."

Pastor Porter has strived to embody integrity, leadership, and a commitment to excellence through music, ministry, and each phase of his life.   He earned a bachelor's degree from Howard University; a Master's in Sociology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a Master's Degree in Christian Ministry from Oral Roberts University. Additionally, Pastor Porter has been an executive in the healthcare industry for twenty years.  In 2003, he co-founded (with his wife) Staffing Etc., a thriving healthcare staffing firm that services clients throughout the U.S.
