Riley Clemmons Surprises Fans with New Single “Runs Deep”

Riley Clemmons debuts a surprise single titled "Runs Deep." Clemmons co-wrote the song with Blessing Offor and Jeff Pardo. She says that the song was written for her 'Church Pew' album but didn't make it on the final record.
"It's gotta special way of combining a handful of my most beloved musical influences... soooo excited to finally share this one as a sweet way little way of closing out the 'Church Pew' chapter. Now dance with me!!!" -Clemmons
Clemmons has shared in interviews that "Runs Deep" is a deeply personal song for her. She explains that the song was inspired by the idea of relationships-whether romantic, familial, or spiritual-that are built on deep trust and love. For her, the song speaks about how love and faith are not surface-level or fleeting, but instead run deep and endure through life's challenges.
In discussing the track, Riley has mentioned that the song highlights how God's love, in particular, is a constant source of strength and that it provides a foundation that can weather difficult times. She has also emphasized the emotional honesty in the lyrics, conveying that love, faith, and connection are things that go beyond surface interactions-they run deep, offering something meaningful and unshakable.
Riley's own journey with faith and her personal experiences are key influences in her music, and "Runs Deep" captures that essence of trust and commitment, making it a reflection of her own belief in enduring, unconditional love.
