Josiah Queen Declares "Yesterday is Dead" with New Single

Following the triumphant "Can't Steal My Joy" ft. Brandon Lake - which amassed over 12.5 million streams across DSPs earlier this year - breakout artist Josiah Queen returns with his new single, "Yesterday is Dead." Rollicking and filled with raw emotion, the song celebrates the energy and hope that comes with a fresh start. On the massive chorus, Queen declaring, "I keep my eyes / On what lies ahead / Today is a new day / Yesterday is dead." The 22-year-old Tampa native wrote the track with John Michael Howell, who produced. Listen to "Yesterday is Dead" HERE. View the official video, which was directed by Rashun, HERE.
Of the song Josiah says, "Yesterday is Dead feels like a weight being lifted off of my back. This song is all about the freedom and new life I have found in Jesus. I have lived through times with regrets of the past and this song came from the release of those cares."
Queen will perform "Yesterday Is Dead" on "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Easter Sunday (April 20) as part of its 2025 Faith & Friends Concert Series. Views of his teasers for the track surpassed three million in the lead-up to its release.
After wrapping up his tour of the U.K. and Europe this weekend, Queen will embark on the U.S. leg of his 2025 global headline tour. The run kicks off on March 26 in Cincinnati and includes a March 28 show at New York City's Gramercy Theatre. See below for itinerary. Queen sold out his first-ever headline tour in 2024, which took him to over 40 U.S. cities. Limited tickets remain for his upcoming outing at www.josiahqueen.com/.
Named one of Amazon Music's Breakthrough Artists To Watch For 2024 and praised by Billboard for his "acoustic-based, Americana-leaning sound," Queen has amassed over 400 million combined global streams already - including over 265 million U.S. streams for his 2024 self-released debut album "The Prodigal." He made his Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG) debut with "Can't Steal My Joy" in January 2025.
