Michael W. Smith releases his latest single entitled "Arms Around the Sun." The track features a unique collaboration with Jonathan Roumie, known for portraying Jesus in The Chosen, who contributed drums to the song during a spontaneous studio session.​

The lyrics of "Arms Around the Sun" convey a profound spiritual message. A notable line shared by Smith on social media reads:​

"I believe You are a love that never ends, but trying to get my head around You is like trying to wrap my arms around the sun." ​

This metaphor illustrates the overwhelming and encompassing nature of divine love.​

Smith writes, "The awe-inspiring mystery of God's love... too vast to fully grasp, yet close enough to feel. That's the heartbeat of my new song, "Arms Around the Sun," which is OUT NOW! I couldn't hold this one back... It's lit a fire in me. I'm still deep in the process of making the rest of the project, but this song felt too urgent-too alive-not to share it now."
