Eminem New Album 2014 'Shady XV' Watch Trailer for New Music Releasing Black Friday This November (VIDEO)
Eminem just revealed that he will be dropping a new album titled Shady XV on Black Friday, November 28th. It will be a two-CD compilation featuring the rappers greatest hits on one and new tracks from himself, Slaughterhouse, Bad Meets Evil, D-12 and Yelawolf on the second CD.
Eminem just released a new single titled "Guts Over Fear" featuring Sia.
"Yes it's official... #SHADYXV Black Friday," Eminem tweeted along with the trailer video, that you can check out above.
The Shady Records compilation will be connected with the label's 15th anniversary.
When many heard the news, they did not expect it to be a new studio album of new songs with full-length, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, releasing less than a year ago.
Eminem has released one compilation in 2006 titled The Re-Up. Shady XV is expected to help Shady Records promote its roster acts, such as Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse.
Eminem's latest album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sales have helped him overtake country musician George Strait (44.89 million sales) to become the second-best-selling male artist. However, it is important to note that Strait's career predates the inception of SoundScan data. Garth Books is the top selling artist of the era, male or female.
In the close to 23-year span of Soundscan, Eminem moves to sixth place overall for any artist, dropping Strait to No. 7. Garth Brooks is on top of the list with 69.52 million. The Beatles are second (65.55 million) and Metallica third (54.26 million), while Mariah Carey sits in fourth (54.24 million) and Celine Dion (52.21 million) rounds out the top five.
