Nexus 6 Release Date in the US Along with Specs, Price And More
With so many devices lined up for the release, people do not really know what to expect from the smartphone and tablet segment. First Apple came up with two outstanding phone, and then Motorola's Second Generation X was a surprise too. Apparently now many Google Nexus and Android lovers want to know what's next in the store before they pick up the new gadget just before this holiday season.
Although a lot has been said about possible release date for the much awaited Nexus 6 and Android L, no one really has any concrete updates. However, now according to Jay McGregor from Forbes, Google plans to launch its new smartphone in less than 24 hours on Wednesday, Oct. 15. We already know that Apple has scheduled a big event tomorrow with possible launch of iMacs and iPads, and now this Google update will only make things better for the tech market in general.
According to reports, Google is not really keen on sending out invitations and holding media events to launch this new smartphone. They would rather use the official blog to announce the release by today or tomorrow. Apparently, Google has teamed up with Motorola for manufacturing Nexus 6, and going by Moto's device performance last year, hopes with Nexus are pretty high. Apparently, Android L will also come with this new smartphone. Fans can also expect the launch of Nexus 9 by the same date with its preorders starting in just three days from now.
Based on earlier reports and rumors, Nexus 6 will feature a 13 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. It will run on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with around 3 to 4 GB RAM. With 32 GB internal storage, this phone will be a serious threat to Apple iPhone 6 and LG G3. Of course, it will be running on the all-new Android L. The price for this device is expected to be closer to Nexus 5's initial launch price $299, which makes it one of the most affordable smartphones in market today, way over Note 4 and iPhone 6.
