'The Originals' Season 2 Cast, Recap: Conflict Between Elijah, Hayley Rises, Klaus Intervenes
The second season hit fantasy drama television series "The Originals" took off on Oct. 6, Monday on The CW network. The series is actually a spin-off from "The Vampire Diaries," and chronicles the story of the world's first vampires existing in New Orleans.
In its second episode, "The Originals" is coming back with additional suspense and drama scenes. The episode is entitled "Alive & Kicking", which aired last Oct. 13.
The conflict between Elijah and Hayley has risen to a particular level that Klaus has to intervene. Klaus informed Hayley the significance of her reclaiming her position within the group. And that is to gain authority over New Orleans. But then, she will be challenged by Esther as the latter considers herself worthy of the Queen's role following the death of Peta Segeant's Francesca.
It is also previewed that Elijah and Klaus looking forward to a family reunion at some point in the future. They are going to meet their parents who are brought back from the grave.
According to The Futon Critic, Mikael is still in Davina's control and he becomes intolerant while she tries to unlock a spell that will safeguard those who are close to her. Then Elijah seeks Marcel's help in tracking down important information. Davina and Kaleb soon realize that they are in a perilous situation. Klaus also becomes distrustful following a meet up with Cassie that does not click as planned.
A promotional video was also released in the International Business Times. The video also suggests that Elijad and Klaus may really be meeting with their resurrected parents. Their reunion will also wind up in the drama, since the video showed Elijah and Mikael finishes bleeding and bruised.
The episode was piloted by Jeffrey Hunt, with Michelle Paradise and Michael Narducci serving as writers.
The show's cast members include Charles Michael Davis as Marcel, Claire Holt as Rebekah, Daniel Gillies as Elijah, Daniella Pineda as Sophie, Danielle Campbell as Davina, Joseph Morgan as Klaus, Leah Pipes as Cami, and Phoebe Tonkin as Hayley.
