True Blood HBO Season 7 Spoilers, Episode 2 Promo, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"True Blood" Season 7 kicked off on HBO on Sunday night and did not waste any time shocking fans with a death of a main cast member right off the bat. This final season is sure to hold nothing back and hopefully will keep fans guessing with each new episode.
SPOILER ALERT (if you have not watched): Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), who is known as holding her own on the show, died in a big surprise last night. The Hep-V-infected vampires made their way to Bon Temps and attacked the BBQ, killing several and taking others as captives.
TVGuide.com caught up with Tara to talk about her death and ask her how she felt about getting killed off so early in the final season. She shared, I found out over my hiatus that I was going to die, so I had to keep it in the whole time. It was kind of crazy. I was like, "Wow, OK!" But that's what makes it True Blood. We're in our final season. We have to keep it bloody. Somebody's gotta go! I think they wanted to do that to get people right in there. I was OK with it. I'm sad. It's kind of bittersweet because I'm going to miss everybody, but on to bigger and better things. It's been a wild ride so far."
When asked if there is anyway that Tara could make a surprise return later in the season, she responded, "She's dead. I hate to say it, but she's dead. I'm no longer."
What did you think of Tara Thornton being killed off so early in the final season? Do you think it adds excitement for the rest of the season or does it sour you for the remaining episodes?
HBO has released the synopsis for episode 2: A trio of hostages taken in the Bellefleur's attack looks to a familiar face as a possible liberator from the H-vamps. Sookie and Jason visit the neighboring town of Saint Alice, where a young woman's diary offers clues to the potential fate of Bon Temps. Spurned by Lafayette, a desperate Lettie Mae turns to Willa to channel her family past. Vince whips his fellow vigilantes into a dangerous frenzy. Pam's search for her maker leads her to a very familiar place.
If you are behind on old episodes, you can catch up here. Catch new episodes of "True Blood" on Sundays nights at 9/8c on HBO.
